TIPPERARY SHC QUARTER-FINALS:ALL STAR Lar Corbett scored a cracking goal to help reigning Tipperary champions Thurles Sarsfields into the county semi-final at the expense of Loughmore-Castleiney (2-19 to 2-13) at Semple Stadium yesterday.

Sarsfields led 0-10 to 0-8 at the interval and though Corbett struck soon after the break, goals from Liam McGrath and Johnny Campion kept Loughmore in touch until a late Ritchie Ruth goal sealed Sarsfields' win.

Eight points from Ken Dunne helped Toomevara to a 1-26 to 0-13 win over outgunned Mullinahone. Willie Ryan scored the only goal two minutes from time.

Tipp panellist, Timmy Hammersley hit 1-11 as Clonoulty-Rossmore swept past Burgess 2-21 to 1-13 in their quarter-final while Brian Kelly's late goal saw Kildangan defeat Carrick Swan 1-14 to 1-9 in their final eight clash.
