CAMOGIE SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP:LAST YEAR'S runners-up Cork turned the tables on champions Wexford with a comfortable 3-6 to 0-5 victory in New Ross.

Cork led by a single point at half-time, 1-1 to 0-3, but they outscored Wexford 2-5 to 0-2 in the second half.

Orla Cotter scored Cork's first-half goal after 21 minutes but the decisive strike was supplied by top scorer Rachel Moloney two minutes after half-time to open up a 2-1 to 0-3 lead. Cork's Síle Burns netted three minutes later to effectively end the contest.

Moloney finished with 1-4 of Cork's total as Briege Corkery and Una O'Donoghue chipped in with the other points.

Kate Kelly was Wexford's leading scorer with three points, while Una Lacey and the impressive Áine Codd supplied a point each.

Tipperary came good after half-time to register a 2-13 to 2-9 victory over Dublin.

Trailing by 2-6 to 2-5 at the break at Semple Stadium last night, Tipp reeled off six unanswered scores after half-time to move into a match-winning five-point lead.

They outscored the visitors 0-8 to 0-3 in the second half to maintain their 100 per cent record in this year's championship.

Dublin stood toe-to-toe with their opponents in a tight first half and responded to Claire Grogan's eighth-minute goal for Tipperary when Ciara Burgess found the net just four minutes later.

Tipperary's second goal came courtesy of Therese Shortt after 16 minutes but Dublin responded through Jolene Hoary as the impressive Burgess turned provider 10 minutes before half-time.

With two wins from two, five-times champions Tipperary are looking good at this early stage for a place in the semi-final while Dublin remain pointless from two outings.

National League champions Kilkenny defeated Limerick 3-10 to 0-5 in atrocious conditions in Kilmallock on Saturday.
