Tipperary trounced Warwickshire by 30 points in the All-Ireland junior football semi-final at Ardfinnan. The home county led 17 to 0-1 at half-time, their goal coming from corner forward Jim McAuliffe after 12 minutes.

Their second-half blitz was sparked off by two goals from full forward Anthony Crosse in the 36th and 42nd minutes and their fourth goal was scored by Brian Maguire after 48 minutes.
