Gary Cullen, who won the Irish Strokeplay championship earlier in the year, added the Midland Scratch Cup to his list of honours at Carlow on Sunday. The oldest Scratch Cup in the country and sponsored by Tretorn Topflite celebrated its 50th birthday this week and Cullen took his first Midland Cup with rounds of 74, 71, 70 and 74 for a total of 289. Eddie Power was second, four shots back with Stephen Browne and John Sugrue taking up the next places.
