BASKETBALL: DART KILLESTER made a quick return to winning ways with a 90-75 victory at home to Hoops in the big Dublin Superleague derby while DCU Saints recorded their third successive league win courtesy of a 60-56 away triumph at Limerick Lions.

John Behan (26 points) and Paddy Kelly (16) starred for Killester who turned in a strong second-half display after they led by just two points at the interval.

Hoops coach Ahmad Smith, who is in a playing capacity since the club's decision to release Clint Deas, top scored for his side along with Phil Taylor on 18 points.

At Limerick the home team led 34-32 at the break but were just pipped coming down the stretch as DCU sealed victory with a final few free throws.

Elsewhere, Neptune came from 11 points down at the interval to defeat Ulster Elks 91-84 away.

Matt Betley produced another typically high-scoring performance with 37 points, while ED Millard equalled that tally for the visitors.

UCC Demons extended their lead at the top of the Southern Conference with a comfortable 105-79 win over Belfast Star and 26 points from David Ryan helped UCD/Marian record an 88-77 victor over Tralee Tigers.
