The winners of the Motorsport Ireland premier awards for 2001 are Michael Devaney (17) of Rathfarnham, Dublin, nominated Young Racing Driver of the Year, and recipient of the Dunlop Sexton Trophy, and Stuart Darcy (25) of Killybegs, winner of the Billy Coleman Award for Young Rally Driver of the Year.

Both have received £25,000 each. Devaney also gets a week's race and driver development training at the Derek Daly Performance Driving Academy in Las Vegas next January.

The Motorsport Ireland Hall of Fame award has gone to rallying legend Rosemary Smith.

For the second successive year the Barney Manley Trophy for the Irish International Driver of The Year was won by Damien Faulkner (25).
