Watch out for the new designer sunglasses on the way from adidas, another company who have jumped on the golf bandwagon in a big way in recent years. With Ernie Els and Sergio Garcia as their two main men, adidas have now decided to expand from clothing and footwear by incorporating an advanced range of eyewear for golfers.

In their promotional material, adidas claim that the new eyewear incorporates three models which provide all levels of golfer, from learner to tour professional, with "optimum levels of protection from all optical threats to playing performance and, as such, could become as essential to a successful round of golf as a player's clubs".

All models accommodate the unique "TriFit" system that allows wearers to adjust the angle between the lenses and the temples in three positions, as well as the double-snap nose bridge, easily adjustable with two positions for different nose sizes.

And what, pray tell, do they mean by optical threats? Well, what about glare from the sun, wind speed and dust for starters? Adidas claim their glasses offer maximum vision, focus, performance and comfort.
