Mike Tyson's promoter Dan Goosen has dismissed reports that the former world heavyweight champion will fight Buster Douglas in his first bout since being released from prison.
Tyson's latest comeback is scheduled for October 2nd at the MGM Grand hotel-casino in Las Vegas, but no opponent has yet been finalised.
Goosen said: "Buster Douglas is not in fighting shape and will not be by October.
"Mike is anxious to return to the ring and is looking to fight someone that will be physically and mentally ready to fight in October. At this point, Douglas does not fit that description."
The list of possible opponents now looks to have been reduced to 33-year-old Orlin Norris and 30-year-old Zeljko Mavrovic of Croatia.
Golf: Waterford's Gavin McNeill, (20), who shot a sparkling five-under-par at Clandeboye in the Ulster Youths' Championship last Thursday, is rewarded with a double date today in the Golfsure Men's Senior Inter-provincial Championship at Enniscrone.
McNeill will partner newly-crowned South of Ireland champion Mark Campbell in the morning foursomes as Leinster take on Connacht. He then plays the anchor role in the afternoon singles when he faces Pat Killeen from Claremorris.

Motor Sport: Formula One racing drivers and typists may seem poles apart in terms of glamour but research published yesterday suggests their jobs carry the risk of the same condition - Repetitive Strain Injury or RSI.
Nearly two-thirds of top international drivers reported wrist problems after competing in last year's World Championships, ranging from "tingling fingers" to muscular pain, experts found.
Drivers should use wrist pads on steering wheels to reduce the risk of RSI from the vibrations of their cars, doctors said.
Swimming: China's swimming association said yesterday it fully supports a worldwide ban on two of its swimmers who tested positive for performance enhancing drugs for the second time.
"We'll resolutely implement the decision made by FINA," the official Xinhua news agency quoted CSA spokesman Zhang Qiuping as saying.
"The CSA will further investigate the doping cases and impose further punishment on those involved," Zhang said.
Chinese swimmers Wang Wei and Xiong Guoming both have been suspended for three years after testing positive for the banned drug clenbuterol, the world governing body FINA announced on Monday.
