Drogheda United 0 Bohemians 3: Without breaking sweat, Bohemians coasted to victory in this one as Drogheda never looked up to the challenge right from the off. It was hard to believe the home side were chasing European qualification so poor was their effort throughout.

Bohemians made all of the running in the early stages as Damian Lynch's shot was headed clear from the Drogheda line by defender Danny O'Connor. Bobby Ryan then swung in a corner from the left for James Keddy to head narrowly wide.

With 21 minutes gone the visitors took the lead when Glen Crowe tapped in a Tony Grant cross from six yards. The Drogheda marking was simply non-existent.

Bohemians made it two five minutes later when Colin Hawkins knocked a ball from defence up the centre for Grant to race away from the Drogheda backline to slot the ball past Tony O'Dowd.

As the half came to a close, Drogheda at last awoke when, first, Mark Rooney pulled a shot narrowly wide and then Barry Molloy forced Matt Gregg into a fine save.

Soon after the break, in a rare opportunity for the home side, Gregg's attempted clearance cannoned off the legs of substitute Declan O'Brien and flew just past the Bohemians post.

Bohemians killed off the tie on 61 minutes when Damian Lynch found Crowe, who laid the ball off to Grant who easily held off O'Connor to slot home his second.

The final half hour saw the visitors go through the motions as the home side couldn't even muster a consolation strike.
