National League Premier Division: Bohemians yesterday confirmed the departure of assistant manager Garry Howlett and coach Dermot O'Neill, who the club said had decided to resign their positions.
The pair cited personal reasons for leaving the club which has made a disappointing start to the season.
Manager Gareth Farrelly said that he would be appointing replacements for the pair, who had worked under previous manager Stephen Kenny, over the coming weeks but stressed that he did not see the matter as particularly urgent for the moment.
Members of the cooperative which owns Dundalk Football Club will this evening vote, at an egm, on a move to hand control over to a newly formed private company, something that would allow local property developer Gerry Matthews to take over.
Matthews, who recently bought Hiney Park from the club and is currently their chief executive, is believed to be willing to provide significant financial backing to the troubled club if the deal goes through.
Meanwhile, Shelbourne will be aiming to end their long barren spell against Derry City tonight at Tolka Park where a win for the visitors would to send them to the top of the table.
The Dublin side haven't beaten City in their last nine attempt but some strong form and quite a few goals of late have fuelled hopes that they might finally secure what would be an important win tonight.
"It's been a long time since we've beaten them," says Shelbourne manager Pat Fenlon, "but there were a couple of games where we were the better side and lost. This time around I'd settle happily enough for being second best but taking all three points."
The home side will again be without Greg O'Halloran, Jamie Harris and Jim Crawford while Derry travel without either Clive Delaney or Gareth McGlynn. Ken Oman, who picked up an ankle injury in the win over Cork, is still a doubt.
"Neither was completely right and maybe that affected their performances," says Derry manager Stephen Kenny, "but they should be all right for this game."
