One horse was reported to have been killed on the final day of the festival to bring the total number of fatalities this week to nine.

The Jonjo O'Neill-trained Buck Whaley was fatally injured in a fall at the second-last flight of the last race, the Vincent O'Brien County Hurdle.

Five horses were killed on a black Thursday and two died in action on Wednesday. Another, Sh Boom, which fell during Thursday's Ladbrokes World Hurdle, died overnight as a result of his injuries.
