Fermanagh have become the latest of the Ulster counties to reject the idea of abolishing Rule 21. At a meeting of the county board, the proposal was defeated and the county joins Armagh and Derry in the 'No' camp for next Saturday week's special congress in Dublin.
Meanwhile, Sunday's Railway Cup hurling final has been moved back to a midday throw-in, as the original time of 2 p.m. clashed with local club matches.
Leinster's team for the semi-final with Munster on Saturday features an all-Kilkenny defence. Wexford's Damien Fitzhenry is selected in goal but the unit in front of him is the Leinster champions'. There are also starting places for Meath's Nicky Horan and Don Hyland from Wicklow.
Sunday's Leinster club football quarter-final between defending champions O'Hanrahan's of Carlow and Kildare's Sarsfields will be the featured match on TG4's live broadcast at 2 p.m.
Reigning Leinster champions O'Hanrahan's are the bookies' favourites to progress to the provincial final. Having claimed their first title last year, they are hopeful of following in the footsteps of ╔ire ╙g of Carlow in becoming perennial challengers, while avoiding their predecessors fate of being eternal bridesmaids when it came to the All-Ireland.
Despite only having two players on the county's panel, O'Hanrahan's made no mistake in the county final, making light work of Palatine. Sarsfields regained their county title by overcoming reigning Kildare kingpins, Moorefield by two points.
