FÉILE NA NGAEL: Cork side Na Piarsaigh claimed the Féile na nGael Division One hurling title at Páirc Uí Rinn yesterday with a one-point, 1-5 to 1-4, victory over Athenry of Galway.

The Cork side appeared to have their sixth title at this level secured after a strong performance during the first half, but ultimately had to withstand a tremendous comeback from the Galway team.

St John's, from the Fall's Road in Belfast, took the Division Two title, beating Cork's Blarney by 3-4 to 0-3. However, an Antrim side were denied the top honours in Division Three, with Ballycastle losing out to Naas 6-6 to 1-5.
