Donal Óg Cusack’s first involvement with the Clare hurlers was a winning one as he helped mastermind a 1-14 to 0-14 win over Cork in the Munster Senior Hurling League.
Clare led 0-08 to 0-06 at half time, and Shane O’Donnell’s second half goal proved decisive at Sixmilebridge as Davy Fitzgerald’s side managed to keep the Rebel County at arms length.

Limerick got their season off to a high scoring start in a game that produced 43 scores at the Gaelic Grounds.
A mere 653 paid in for what was a one-sided affair from the start with Limerick putting over three points from Tom Morrissey, Declan Hannon and Gavin O’Mahoney in as many minutes.
