Galway Utd 3 Bray Wanderers 1:IN RECENT weeks there has been a touch of the erratic about Galway United so this victory brought succour to the Terryland Park faithful last night.

The opening period was laced with incident as Galway made a dashing start before Bray thundered back into the contest.

Vinny Faherty was fashioning chances for strike partner Aaron Greene, who grabbed a first half brace to steer Galway two ahead by the half-hour mark. Greene headed Galway in front on 15, and added a sweet left-footed effort in the 30th minute as the locals’ thoughtful approach was rewarded.

Bray, though, are a team eager to distribute the ball on the deck too, and they pinched a goal in the 39th minute when Dane Massey reacted briskly in a packed area.
