WITH the top three teams in the Leinster Senior Hockey League out of action until fourth-place4 Hermes have a chance to convert their game in hand into three points tomorrow afternoon and narrow the gap between themselves and leaders Muckross to one point.

Glenanne provide the opposition at Belfield in one of only two league matches in Dublin this weekend. Earlier in the day, at the same venue, Trinity play Pembroke Wanderers.

Meanwhile the Leinster Ladies Hockey Union coaching secretary, Ethne Seymour, is asking girls in the 11-18 age group to contact her by the end of the weekend if they wish to participate in a coaching course at Grange Road on Friday and Saturday of next week.

The fee for the course, which will be given by current and former Irish internationals and qualified coaches, is £25 and all proceeds will go towards Ireland's trip to Zimbabwe next August for the World Cup qualifying tournament.
