ALEX HIGGINS stormed into yet another controversy in Blackpool yesterday when he pulled out of a tournament just minutes before the start of his match. The controversial snooker star refused to play his sixth round tie in a £230,000 event - handing Scotland's Graham Horne a walk over. Higgins walked out on discovering that the contest was to be refereed by Scottish official Lawrie Annandale.
