The Masters: Following his remarkable playoff victory over Chris DiMarco, a look back at some of Tiger Woods' most memorable strikes.

1997, Phoenix Open, Scottsdale

Woods had been a professional for less than six months and was still to win his first major when he created scenes that went round the world. The 16th hole at Scottsdale attracts one of the biggest and certainly noisiest galleries and Woods holed-in-one for them.

2000 US PGA, Valhalla

A six-foot putt may not sound worthy of inclusion here, but this one deserves it because of the context. Woods wanted to keep alive the chances of owning all four majors at the same time, something never achieved before. Bob May sank an 18-footer on the final hole and Woods had to make his to force a play-off. He did.

2000 Canadian Open, Glen Abbey

Trailing Grant Waite, Woods drove into a bunker at the closing par five. The flag was over water and tucked in the right-hand corner of the green, but the pumped-up Woods nipped a six-iron off the sand over 200 yards to the back of the green and won by one.

2001 Players Championship, Sawgrass

The island green 17th has become one of the most atmospheric arenas in golf. Woods almost hit his tee shot off the back and into the water, but then rolled a 60-foot putt that curled one way and then the other, down a slope and into the hole to a deafening roar.

2002 US PGA, Hazeltine

Playing partner Ernie Els called this the finest shot he had ever seen. Woods was in a fairway bunker on the final hole of his second round, with the ball well below his feet, trees in front of him and over 200 yards to the green. His three-iron to 15 feet simply defied belief.

2003 Buick Invitational, Torrey Pines

Facing what appeared a near-impossible shot out of the rough, Woods muscled a four-iron nearly 200 yards under nearby tree branches and chased the ball to within 15 feet of the flag again. He went on to beat Carl Pettersson by four.

2005 Masters, Augusta

There are moments when Woods inspires awe purely with his power and this was one such occasion. The second hole has been lengthened to 575 yards and is now out of reach for all but a few. Woods is one of the few. He nailed his drive in the third round an incredible 375 yards.

2005 Masters, Augusta

One ahead of Chris DiMarco with three to play Woods went long and left at the 16th. It was only around 35 feet to the hole, but Woods sent the ball, which was nailed up against the fringe of the first cut, on a 60-foot journey up a slope and back down again, then saw it hang on the lip before dropping in for an incredible birdie.
