Masters champion Trevor Immelman today picked up the European Tour's monthly award for April, his win at Augusta eclipsing the achievements of Darren Clarke and Damien McGrane.

Immelman's victory at the start of the month, which lifted him to the head of the Order of Merit, saw him become just the second South African to win the event alongside Gary Player.

Also in April, Clarke bridged a five year gap between European Tour titles by claiming the Asian Open in Shanghai while McGrane got his hands on his first piece of Tour silverware when winning the China Open by a massive nine shots.
