Newpark again marked themselves out for contenders for the Leinster senior schools' section A cup with an impressive win over St Mary's, Dundalk at the High School grounds in Rathgar yesterday.

The south Dublin outfit always held the upper hand and their intense forward pressure allowed Fergus Day to go over for a try. St Mary's, though, made a quick reply with scrum half Fergus Griffin converting a penalty kick.

However, Newpark registering five more tries from Steven Murphy(2), Ken Law, Draiochta Lundberg and their captain Dave Doran who also added two conversions for good measure.
