THREE of the most important Irish Flat handicaps, the Rockingham, the Golden Pages and the McDonagh, will carry prize money of £50,000 this coming season. In addition, the Summer Fillies will now be worth £35,000, the Cambridge, £30,000 and the GPT, £25,000.

Total prize monkey for the Flat season, during which 697 races are due to be run, is expected to be £7.4 million, with the minimum value of Group Two races being £50,090, Group Three, £30,000 and Listed, £20,000.

In an effort to boost attendances at evening meetings, a number of six race cards will be run, so allowing a later starting time.
