DUBLIN:Paul Caffrey quit after four years yielded as many Leinster titles but not the elusive All-Ireland. After intense speculation, Pat Gilroy of St Vincent's is unveiled as the latest man to try to lead Dublin to a first All-Ireland in 13 years and counting. Hurling manager Tommy Naughton stepped down saying it was clear the county board and players wanted a bigger name to take them to the next step.

CORK:Two current Cork hurlers are on the sub-committee tasked with identifying the next Cork hurling manager. Their inclusion represents part of the settlement package resulting from the general strike by the hurling and football squads at the beginning of the year.

GALWAY:The hurling fraternity is split on the return of Ger Loughnane, whose reappointment looks set to face fresh challenges on Monday night.

LIMERICK:Set their sights on Justin McCarthy to take over as hurling manager in a straight swap for Richie Bennis.

WEXFORD:Looking for a new hurling manager after John Meyler was relieved of his position this week.

MEATH:Are interviewing candidates this week. Colm Coyle quit after Meath crashed to both Wexford and Limerick in the All-Ireland championship.

ROSCOMMON:Fergal O'Donnell guided the Roscommon minors to a famous football All-Ireland last year and takes over as senior boss offering more muted expectations: "We would be hoping to win a few matches and that we won't get hammered." His appointment means the Roscommon senior football team have had four managers in charge this year - John Maughan, Paul Earley, Michael Ryan and now O'Donnell.
