UEFA Champions LeagueBayer Leverkusen...0 Inter Milan...2Reserve striker Obafemi Martins led Inter Milan to a 2-0 win at Bayer Leverkusen last night to secure their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The 18-year-old Nigerian exploited a blunder by the Leverkusen defence to race into the box and open the scoring after 36 minutes.

Turkish midfielder Emre Belozoglu doubled the advantage with a last-minute effort from a counter-attack, sealing a victory that secured the Italian side's second place in Group A behind Barcelona.

Martins, starting a game in Europe for the first time and dangerous throughout, was brought down by Thomas Kleine shortly before the break but Leverkusen goalkeeper Hans-Joerg Butt saved the resulting penalty from Domenico Morfeo.
