Ireland beat Iran 3-0 at the World Student Games in Beijing to go into the second game of the group with three points in the bag.

Ulster University's Ryan Coyle picked up a high cross to open the scoring in the 50th minute and just four minutes later Shaun Gallagher put a penalty away for a 2-0 lead.

David Martin rounded off the scoring with just five minutes left to play.
