TENNIS/DAVIS CUP: Irish men's team captain Owen Casey admitted he was pleased with yesterday's draw which gives Ireland a good chance of opening with a win in the singles in the Davis Cup Eurozone tie against Greece which starts in Athens today.

Non-playing skipper Casey is happy to be in the position of being able to pick from his best squad, with the availability, following suspension, of Ireland number one Peter Clarke being an important factor. Clarke is drawn against Konstantinos Economidis, who has a world ranking of 280.

"Peter should get us off to a good start," said Casey.

In form Conor Niland of Limerick faces 142nd-ranked Vassilis Mazarakis, while John Doran wille be held in reserve and is likely to figure in the doubles.
