DUBLIN SFC ROUND-UP:FORMER ALL-IRELAND club champions Kilmacud Crokes proved too strong for Na Fianna at Parnell Park yesterday with Longford star Brian Kavanagh registering eight points for the Stillorgan outfit in their 0-15 to -10 victory.

Crokes conceded a shock goal on 20 minutes when from a diagonal ball from Senan Connell, Odhran Ó Maoléadaigh shot home at the far post. And further points from Dublin hurler Tomás Brady and Connell saw Na Fianna lead by 1-5 to 0-4 before Crokes embarked on a five-point run (three from Kavanagh) to lead by one at the break.

And although Ó Maoléadaigh was to level proceedings shortly after the restart, Crokes took control with Adrian Morrissey and Kavanagh to the fore.

Meanwhile, champions Ballyboden St Enda’s had to dig in deep against former All-Ireland holders St Vincent’s at Parnell Park on Saturday.
