WITHOUT ever having to find top gear, Knockmore cruised past Sligo champions St Mary's in their Connacht club SF championship semifinal clash at Ballina yesterday. They will now face Roscommon's Clann na nGael in the final in two weeks.
Knockmore were quickly into their stride, hoisting three points in the first quarter despite playing into a stiff breeze and at half-time led by 0-6 to 0-3.
To their credit. St Mary's dug deep after the interval and points by Enda McCloskey and Kevin Breheny took them within a point of the home side, but that was as close as they were to get.
