St Joseph’s, Rochfortbridge 1-8 St Benildus, Dublin 1-6

In a game played under lights in Kinnegad last night St Joseph’s, Rochfordbridge, advanced to the last four with victory over St Benildus. The game livened up in the second half. A Donal Hickey goal in the 28th minute had put St Joseph’s in the driving seat and they turned over with a 1-4 to 0-2 lead, the Dubliners’ first score coming from Shane Horan, six minutes from the interval.

A superb goal from St Benildus’ Brian Hanamy brought them back into the tie. However, St Joseph’s dug deep and with Mark Gorman, Wayne Fox and Mark Conroy finding the target they clung on for victory.
