Longford Town manager Stephen Kenny heaped praise on his defence following Saturday night's historic victory over Derry City at the Brandywell in the club's first-ever competitive Premier Division game. Derry dominated the opening half but without first-choice strikers Kevin Mahon's men failed dismally. In the 46th minute, Keith O'Connor headed home Wesley Byrne's cross to silence the Brandywell faithful.
