Three NUI Galway goals inside 90 seconds from the 15th minute wiped out any hopes UUJ had of causing an upset at Jordanstown yesterday when Owen McDonagh, son of GAA president Joe, had an outstanding game at full back for the winners.

NUI Galway totted up 3-7 in a 10-minute blitz from the end of the first quarter and by the interval they were 5-9 to 0-4 up and there was no way back for UUJ.
