This sadly one-sided All-Ireland quarter-final in Halton Moore, Leeds, turned into an exhibition of Crossmolina's skills.
The pattern was set early: as the game began Crossmolina's Thomas Loftus won the ball in his own half, ran 50 yards, expertly exchanged passes with Kieran McDonald and goaled from five yards.
McDonald, who scored 2-9, was the game's outstanding performer. Almost every Crossmolina attack was worked through the number 11, and he provided the game's outstanding moment after 45 minutes when he found the posts from 50 yards, despite the close attention of two markers.
The final 35-point cushion did not exaggerate Crossmolina's superiority.
