A field of over 40 pairs will line-up for the final of the pitch and putt National Mixed Foursomes at St Bridget's, Kilcullen next Sunday. Holders Bernie Lacey and Lily Lacey of Trim will be defending their title but will have their work cut out to keep Ray Murphy and Linda Murphy at bay. Ray Murphy, the former Ireland number one, has won every title (team and individual) at national level apart from the mixed title and he will be anxious the complete the full set at Kilcullen. Other pairs with a eye on the crown include Tipperary intercounty players Noel Joyce and Br∅d Ryan and the Limerick pairing of Marie O'Halloran and Michael O'Halloran, who were members of the Parteen team that won the national team event last year.
