Bray Wanderers v Shamrock Rovers (Carlisle Grounds)
Shamrock Rovers' manager Damien Richardson's hopes of using this game to exorcise the ghost of Sunday's poor performance against Galway have been hit by injuries.
"This game has come far to soon for us and I can't say what kind of team we can field considering the many knocks we have," said Richardson. "I also have Friday's league game at UCD to consider."
Goalkeeper Tony O'Dowd is definitely out having gone over on an ankle at the end of Sunday's match. Shane Jackson (hamstring) and Derek Tracey (calf) are also unlikely to feature.
19-year-old Pat Deacy makes his debut in central defence while Brian Byrne starts for the first time in place of flu-victim Shane Robinson.
Bray are furious that their pitch has been ruined after Friday night's game with Dundalk was played in an incessant downpour. "We spent u £15,000 on the pitch during the summer and it's ruined after one game like that," said manager Pat Devlin who felt the game should not have been played.
"Promotion is our sole aim this season," said Devlin, "but a League Cup semi-final place would be nice and we are looking forward to playing the Premier Division leaders."
Bray will work off the same squad as lost to Dundalk on Friday night with the addition of the fit again Glen Brien.
Finn Harps v Derry City, (Finn Park, 7.30)
Finn Harps have lost Tom Mohan for six weeks after his jaw was fractured by a flailing elbow in Friday's game at Drogheda.
Mohan underwent surgery in Derry on Sunday when he had a plate inserted in his jaw and a wisdom tooth removed.
Gavin Dykes is also out of tonight's game after he strained his back in Friday's 3-2 defeat at United Park, Harps' sixth defeat in seven league games.
Manager Charlie McGeever has been given the full backing of his board of directors. "There is no pressure whatsoever on Charlie from the board," said chairman Conor Boyce. "The question of a vote of confidence has not arisen."
Derry are without both Gary Beckett (toe) and Liam Coyle (knee ligaments) so Andy Moran and Darren McCaul are likely start in attack.
Drogheda United v Athlone Town, (United Park, 7.30)
Justin O'Neill gets another chance to stake his claim for the Drogheda goalkeeping jersey when he starts tonight after replacing Gareth Byrne at half time in Friday's game with Finn Harps. Drogheda manager Martin Lawlor, mindful of Friday's match at Shelbourne, may rest one or two others.
Athlone defender Alan Oliver has had to retire from the game due to a back injury.
Manager Joey Malone sees it as a no pressure match in which his team can hopefully rebuild some confidence and put their atrocious league form to the back of their mind for the moment.
Trevor Moylan is unavailable as he's away with a schools team in Germany while Tom Silke and Colin Holohan are out with ankle injuries. Tommy Hewitt makes his debut in attack.
Waterford United v Rockmount (Regionals Sports Centre, 7.30)
Rockmount will be hoping to increase their unpopularity in Munster soccer circles, at least in National League terms, as they go for a hat-trick of gaint-killing feats.
With the Munster Senior League champions having already knocked out Cork City and Cobh Ramblers, Waterford are taking nothing for granted and watched Rockmount beat Temple United 1-0 in a MSL derby on Sunday.
"We'll go up there and have a go at them and enjoy ourselves," said Rockmount joint-manager Billy Cronin. "Again, as in the games with Cork and Cobh, all the pressure is on Waterford, as we have absolutely nothing to lose."
Rockmount continue without midfielder Pat Oldham (knee) and striker Kieran O'Shea (thigh) so Michael Deasy and Danny Long remain in the team.
Waterford have inquired about the availability of Ian Gilzean and Marcus Hallows from St Patrick's Athletic in an effort to end their striking problems, but have been told that both are still part of the Liam Buckley's first team plans.
That's contrary to reports that Gilzean, who hasn't featured in St. Patrick's last three games, had been given permission to speak to Waterford.
