By way of proving that it's possible to find just about anything on the Internet, there is the tale of the Iowa man who tracked down his stolen golf clubs. On the auction site www.eBay.com, he got a friend to place the winning bid on one club. Then, with the police in tow, he met the seller at an appointed place.

When the thief was arrested, detectives established a link to other stolen clubs in three states. And how did the Iowa man prove ownership? Markings on the club proved that they came from his set which cost $3,200 - very serious money for clubs in the US.

Meanwhile, in further news from across the pond, dear old Santa may be interested that a new version of Scrabble has been produced for the first time in 52 years. And guess what, it offers bonus points for spelling out such words as ace (20 points), yips (30) and amateur (40).
