THE PRESSURE which go with national squad status were soon evident as Stephen Geoghegan, unwittingly, found himself at the centre of a dispute over brand names when he posed for press photographs at Tolka Park yesterday.

A Shelbourne scarf, draped across his shoulders, was obliterating the official logo on the Ireland shirt, much to the annoyance of the man from Umbro.

But Geoghegan was adamant that this incident was none of his making.
