US TOUR:Kenny Parry shot a closing, three-under-par 69 to set the clubhouse target on eight under par in the final round at Jack Nicklaus's Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio.

Perry, seeking his third Memorial victory, led by two from a group of three players on six under that included Jerry Kelly who fired a closing one-under 71.

SENIORS TOUR:Ian Woosnam fought his nerves and soaring temperatures to capture his first strokeplay title for more than a decade at the inaugural Polish Seniors Championship.

In an epic head-to-head with playing partner Domingo Hospital of Spain at a sun-soaked Krakow Valley Golf and Country Club, Woosnam carded 10 birdies on the way to a 63 which smashed the course record and helped the Welshman record his first strokeplay victory since the Volvo PGA Championship in 1997.

Woosnam's 15 under par total saw him finish one shot clear of Hospital, who birdied the last hole for a superb round of 64.

"Domingo played absolutely fantastically," Woosnam said. "Every time I made a birdie he made a birdie, and vice versa. It was a terrific battle.

"I was pretty nervous towards the end, because it's been a while since I've been in a winning position. I haven't won a strokeplay competition since 1997, so it was nice to get that monkey off my back. I think I'll celebrate with a few beers tonight.

"It's been hard work in this heat. It's a big course and the ground's very firm, so it's just knocked my feet about a bit. It's been a tough couple of weeks, on the back of the tournament in the States. But even though I'm in a bit of pain, I'm still a happy man."

Eamonn Darcy, who had been challenging entering the final round, slipped to a 76.

CHALLENGE TOUR:Northern Ireland's Gareth Maybin fired a second consecutive three-under-par 67 to finish in a tie for fourth in the Pro-Am Challenge at Worsley Park Hotel outside Manchester.

Maybin finished on 13 under par, three shots behind Italy's Alessandro Tadini, who shot a 69 to be one clear of Switzerland's Raphael De Sousa.

Maybin earned €6,300 for his efforts.

Richard Kilpatrick finished on six under par, with Stephen Browne and Colm Moriarty on three under.

LET TOUR:South Korea's Amy Yang claimed the Ladies German Open by four shots at Golfpark Gut Hausern, and announced she would donate the €37,500 first prize money to the victims of the Chinese earthquake.

Yang, who is only 18, began the final round with a five-shot lead, and she was never under pressure as she closed with a five-under 67 for a 21-under-par total.

Sweden's Louise Stahle finished in second on 17 under with Gwladys Nocera in third one stroke back.

Martina Gillen closed with a 72 to share 25th place on seven under par. She collected €2,700.

The richly deserved victory was the first in Yang's professional career, but her second on the Ladies European Tour. She made worldwide news two years ago when she won the ANZ Ladies Masters in Australia as a 16-year-old amateur. At that time she was the youngest winner on the LET.

She turned professional in October 2006 and was granted a three-year exemption to play on the tour, but was unable to commit to full-time golf until she finished her school exams in Australia at the end of 2007.

Victory was the Korean's sixth top-10 finish in seven starts on the LET this year.

Michelle Wie, also 18, finished sixth on 14 under par, which marked her first sub-par tournament total in 14 appearances since she tied for second at the2006 Evian Masters in France.

Yang will now head to America to compete in US Women's Open Qualifying next week.

LPGA TOUR:A par at the first play-off hole was enough for Korea's Seon Hwa Lee to capture the Ginn Tribute, hosted by Annika, at the RiverTowne Country Club in South Carolina. Lee and Australia's Karrie Webb had finished tied on 14 under par.
