The IGB in Goatstown will host their fourth PPUI event of the year when they play hosts to the final round of the National Club tournament next Sunday. Twenty-four teams, including three from the Glenville club in Dublin, have qualified for the final. Collins (Cork), Waterford Crystal and Custume (Athlone) field two teams apiece. The Navan team of Paul Cregan, Tony Maher, John Meade and Peter Kearney defend the title they won at Cunnigar, Dungarvan, last year with a score of 11 up. With two second places and a third, however, the Loughlinstown team of Mick Kelly, Eoin Mithen, Stephen Kelly and Trevor Ward will be hoping to go one better this year but can expect strong opposition from Ryston, Templebreedy and the host club IGB.
