Uefa Champions League Round-up: Grp E; Real Madrid 5 Dynamo Kiev 1: Real Madrid, who lost 2-0 to Olympique Lyon in their opening match two weeks ago, reignited their Champions League campaign with an authoritative drubbing of a ragged Dynamo Kiev at the Bernabeu last night.

First-half goals from Ruud van Nistelrooy, Raul and Jose Antonio Reyes put Real firmly in the driving seat at the break as the visitors struggled to find their rhythm.

Although Dynamo pulled one back through striker Artem Milevsky at the start of the second half, Raul made it 4-1 with his 53rd Champions League goal just after the hour.

Things went from bad to worse for the Ukrainians nine minutes later when Van Nistelrooy notched his second from the penalty spot after he was brought down by goalkeeper Olexander Shovkovsky, who received a red card.

Steaua Bucharest 0 Lyon 3

Goals from Fred, Tiago and substitute Benzema gave Olympique Lyon an impressive 3-0 away win over Steaua Bucharest in their Champions League group E match.

The win took France's five-times-in-a-row champions to six points after their opening victory over Real Madrid but rocked Steaua, whose hopes rose after their 4-1 opening day win over Dynamo Kiev.

GROUP G

CSKA Moscow 1 Hamburg 0

A second-half header by Brazil midfielder Dudu gave Russian champions CSKA Moscow victory over Hamburg SV yesterday.

Dudu outjumped Boubacar Sanogo and beat goalkeeper Stefan Wachter with a strong header from 10 metres in the 59th minute after a corner by fellow Brazil international Daniel Carvalho.

Hamburg's substitute Benjamin Lauth was shown a straight red card four minutes from time for elbowing winger Yuri Zhirkov.

Hamburg stay bottom of the group with no points after a 2-1 home loss to Arsenal.

GROUP H

AEK Athens 1 Anderlecht 1

AEK Athens are still waiting for their first ever Champions League win after being held to a draw by Anderlecht in Group H at the Olympic Stadium.

The Belgian visitors opened the scoring against the run of play after 25 minutes when Nicolas Frutos poked home from close range.

Three minutes later, AEK levelled through Brazilian Julio Cesar and although they created the better chances for the remainder of the game the Greek side failed to add a second.

Lille 0 AC Milan 0

French side Lille fought bravely to hold Italian giants AC Milan to a 0-0 draw in their Champions League group H match.

Milan hit the back of the net through Clarence Seedorf on 50 minutes but the Dutch midfielder's effort was ruled offside. Replays suggested it was a harsh decision.

Lille have to play their home Champions League fixtures in nearby Lens because their stadium does not meet Uefa's standards.
