MICHAEL RICE appears to be Kilkenny's only concern ahead of Sunday's All-Ireland semi-final against Waterford at Croke Park, writes GAVIN CUMMISKEY.
The Carrickshock midfielder is nursing bruised ribs, sustained in a training game, but is expected to recover. There are no other major wounded reports coming from Brian Cody’s camp, despite a full round of club championship matches taking place since they overwhelmed Dublin in the Leinster final on July 3rd.
Waterford also report a clean bill of health.
Meanwhile, the GAA hope to produce a recommended protocol for their members with regards social networking sites like Twitter.
“We need to develop a fairly clear policy soon on what’s acceptable,” said director general Páraic Duffy yesterday. “It’s all part of respect. It’s not acceptable for players to be criticised by officials or administrators and so on, but it is not acceptable for players to have a rant about officials either. We have to have mutual respect here. We have to find some way of delivering that.”
