Three into two won't go, and RTE are unlikely to show live the last half-hour of tomorrow's final round of the Smurfit European Open, even if an Irish player is in contention.

RTE 1 will show live All-Ireland football championship action in its programme which starts at 1.45 p.m., while Sports Special on Network 2 will be devoted to golf and European Championship athletics.

However, there is an overlap between the closing stages of the golf and Sonia O'Sullivan's 5,000 metres final and, so, the final 30 minutes' play in the golf will be shown in a delayed transmission after the athletics.
