Munster A lifted the spirits on Saturday night with a six-try win over Stirling County at Bandon Rugby Club in the B and I Cup.
Local hero and former Cork hurler Darren Sweetnam topped a great personal display with a try before half-time after Seán Dougall and Andrew Conway had each crossed to give Munster a 22-3 half time lead. The impressive Rory Scannell converted two of those tries and added a penalty.
Billy Holland got Munster off the mark three minutes into the second half with a try, with Scannell adding the extras before Ronan O’Mahony scored the first of his brace of tries with 17 minutes left. O’Mahony then outsprinted the Scottish defence to score in the corner and cap a great bonus-point win for the homeside.
