Rugby:Perpignan prop Jerome Schuster has been cited for an alleged strike with the head against Munster's Denis Leamy during last Sunday's bruising encounter at Stade Aime Giral where Tony McGahan's recorded a famous win.

England’s Alan Mansell was the citing commissioner who lodged the complaint after the alleged offence was picked up by the touch judge before notifying the referee who issued Schuster with a yellow card.

Under Law 10.4 (a) - A player must not strike an opponent with the fist or arm, including the elbow, shoulder, head or knee(s).

Schuster is due before an ERC Disciplinary Hearing in Dublin on Wednesday, January 13th.

If found guilty the penalty ranges from four weeks at the lower end up to 12 weeks, or if serious enough, a maximum of two years.
