In dire need of points to maintain their bid for a European berth, Connacht welcome Ofisa Treviranus back to their squad for Friday night's trip to Rodney Parade.
Treviranus has not featured for Michael Bradley's side since suffering a broken leg in Decemebr but could be in line for a return to the backs division against the Dragons.
With time running out to secure a place in the Heineken Cup, Connacht know anything less than a win will effectively end their chances. Bradley will also be keeping his fingers crossed that Cardiff can do his side a favour when they face Ulster at the Arms Park the following evening.
The Connacht coach may also take the opportunity to take a closer look at the Galwegians trio of Liam Bibo, Peter Durcan and Joe Merrigan who have also been included in his extended 26-man squad.
