How good are the golfers in your pub? Well now is your chance to enter the Boru Vodka golfing pub of the year competition for 1999. The competition, promoted by M and M Golf Promotions, is open to all pubs, clubs and hotels throughout the country. Area finals will take place at 10 venues around the country in the coming weeks with a grand final in Spain later in the year.

The area venues include Foyle, Derry; Rockmount, Carryduff; Harbour Point, Cork; Galgorm Castle; Castle Hume, Limerick County, Balmoral (two days), City West, Dublin (two days) and Galway. The format is a two-man scramble using one fifth of the combined handicap. Six drives from each player must be used and the maximum handicap allowed is 22. Regional finals will take place at Glasson Golf and Country Club on September 14th.
