Judy Owens felt a little under par when, just three weeks into her job as a training manager at the Professional Golfers' Association, she was banned for wearing trousers at work. Owens was ordered to go home and put on a skirt. The 39-year-old, who claimed sexual discrimination at an employment tribunal this week, said she felt physically sick when told that her trouser-suit was not "traditional" enough for the PGA's "conservative requirements".

Owens also claimed that she was branded a "pleb" and overheard male colleagues referring to women golfers as "dykes and lesbians". Some things never change.
