Easy-going Ferguson
Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson expects to see striker Ruud van Nistelrooy at training on Monday. The 30-year-old has been at the centre of transfer speculation and United have rejected an approach from Real Madrid.
"They have made an offer, we have rejected it," confirmed Ferguson. "If they don't come back in and increase their offer, he won't be going and I would be content with that."
Nolan may go green
Bolton captain Kevin Nolan is refusing to rule out the prospect of one day playing for the Republic of Ireland.
After continually missing out on England squads, the 24-year-old has already had talks with Ireland manager Stephen Staunton about pulling on a green jersey.
Nolan, who is eligible for Ireland through the grandparents ruling, says he is willing to discuss that matter with Staunton again.
