Ireland midfielder Alan Judge could face an extended lay-off after suffering serious leg injury during Brentford’s Championship tie with Ipswich on Saturday afternoon.

Judge was stretchered off just eight minutes into the game at Portman Road.

The 27-year-old was injured in the third minute, after a tackle from Ipswich player Luke Hyam. Hyam was booked for the challenge and was shown red later in the half, for a second bookable offence.

Paramedics attended to Judge on the pitch before he was removed with a leg brace on his right leg.
