Drogheda United have taken full advantage of their game in hand and moved top of the eircom Premier League with a 4-1 win over Bray Wanderers at United Park.
Drogs kicked off this evening knowing that a win would leave them one point ahead of long term leaders St. Patrick's Athletic who were held scoreless by Bray at the weekend.
James Keddy got the homeside off to the perfect start when he found the net after just three minutes, but Alan Cawley kept Bray in the game with a 14t minute strike.
However, centre back Graham Gartland restored Drogheda's advantage after 20 minutes and moments before halftime Gavin Whelan doubled the lead.
