Soccer: Pat Scully has parted company with Shamrock Rovers by mutual consent after almost three years as manager.

"Pat has given great service to Shamrock Rovers," said Jonathan Roche Rovers chairman.

"I don't believe anyone else could've achieved what he did, coming in after we'd been relegated and working within a very restrictive budget."

'During that time, Pat had to juggle funds and players out of necessity. But as well as bringing in some very experienced players, he developed young talent."

Rovers will begin the search for Scully's replacement while a temporary replacement will take over for the remainder of the season.
