Soccer:Shamrock Rovers will have to wait a further 24 hours at least to try and secure back-to-back Airtricity Premier Division titles after tonight's clash against UCD at the Belfield Bowl was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

The game will be now be played on Tuesday night, with a 7.05pm kick-off as the Tallaght-based side look to secure the three points to extend their record of league titles to 17. RTE will cover tomorrow night’s game live.

Tonight’s game was cancelled following a pitch inspection that started at 4.30pm, with referee Neil Doyle deciding the pitch was unplayable due to the volume of rain that has fallen in Dublin over the last 24 hours.

Shamrock Rovers are one point ahead of Sligo Rovers at the top of the Premier Division, but have a game in hand.
